The best moment at any event is small. Two people, the right conversation, at the right time.

AI's job is to make that happen thousands of times over, at a show too big to run by hand.

Attendees arrive expecting it. They spend their week with tools that understand what they're trying to get done, and they bring that expectation with them.

Here's how it works from two industry experts at Hyve and Grow This Event. During this webinar, they'll give you the secrets to delivering elite-level personalization at events.

---

🔍 **What we’ll cover**:

🔮 What attendees now expect from an event. People spend their days with tools that understand what they're trying to achieve and guide them to what's relevant. That's changing what they expect when they arrive, and what a website, a directory and a search bar are being asked to do.

🧭 What "personal" feels like to an attendee. Relevance, time saved, and the feeling of being known. We'll talk about which of these tends to register first, and what it takes to deliver each one.

✨ Personalization people can feel. Where it shows up across the journey: who to meet, what to attend, where to go, and what to do with the ten minutes you just got back.

📝 What you need to know, and how to ask for it. The handful of things that help most in guiding someone to the right person or session, how stated preferences and real behavior work together, and how to gather it at sign-up without adding friction or asking twice.

🙋 Where a human belongs. The moments worth handling personally, from VIP curation to a concierge touch, and how AI buys you the time to do them.

🔍 The gimmick test. Three questions worth running on any personalization feature before it ships, so everything on your app earns the space it takes up.

📊 Proof it worked. The signals that suggest people felt it: response rates, meeting fulfillment, and what participants say when you ask them to rate a conversation.

Laila Hawe is director of marketing at Manifest, the supply chain and logistics technology event acquired by Hyve in 2025.

Manifest brings more than 7,200 executives, shippers, startups and investors to Las Vegas each February, and Laila's team is responsible for getting the right ones in the room and making the three days pay off once they are there.

She has spent more than two decades marketing B2B media and events, at Penton Media, Diversified Business Communications and Gartner, before joining Connectiv, where she led marketing and strategic relationships across the portfolio. She has watched audience expectations move from a printed agenda to an app that is expected to know you.
